I recently purchased a new XPG Spectrix S40G RGB PCIE GEN3X4 M.2 2280 Solid State Drive with 256GB storage and created a clone using Macrium Reflect so it would be my operating system drive immediately without any partitions. During the whole process, the RGB did not function even after trying the XPG RGB software. I’m currently using Windows 11. Could anyone suggest why the RGB on my M.2 isn’t working? Using ADATA SSD Toolbox indicates the firmware is up to date, though it shows version 0001—maybe that’s the issue? Here are some details about my system:
- Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro
- Older OS SSD: Western Digital WDS120G2G0A 120GB SATA (sequential read up to 545MB/s, 6.0Gbps)
- Newer OS SSD: XPG Spectrix S40G RGB PCIE GEN3X4 M.2 2280 256GB
- Power Supply: Deep Cool da600 (600W)

I have several RGB-related apps running, but even when they’re off, no color changes have occurred. I really need assistance.
