I've been attempting to push my 3770k to 4.5GHz, but occasionally the clocks revert to default. These issues seem linked to throttling, especially during Prime95 and XTU tests.

Does your clock speed revert to the standard setting or operate at a reduced frequency? If it runs slower than needed, the CPU may decrease its clock speed to manage heat and temperatures, especially when performance demands are high.

I'm not an expert, but does your clock speed return to the standard setting or a reduced speed? If it drops below what your CPU needs, it usually lowers its clock speed to manage heat. The multiplier goes back to 35 and stays there for less than a minute. Edit: The last drop happened because the test finished.

Did you store the preferences, or will it reset to the standard options automatically?
