I've been playing for about six hours now and I'm trying to defeat more warchiefs (currently 2 out of 4) to unlock the story mission. It's tough... After a fight, three random captains appear to attack me. One is only 12 while the main character is 16. Is there a way to lower the difficulty? What do you think about this game? Share your thoughts.
It's actually quite manageable—just need to manage some orcs and avoid certain abilities... but I'm used to tougher games like Demon Souls, Dark Souls, and a Skyrim mod that messes with damage.
The game truly tests your skills when orcs overwhelm you a lot, particularly when captains are involved. You just need to keep going.
Take advantage of their vulnerabilities and anxieties.
Leverage the surroundings to disperse large groups of orcs—destroy Morgai Fly nests, detonate fires and grog barrels, etc.
Eliminate bodyguards in the open world individually before confronting the warchief.
This approach is moderately tough early on, particularly if you keep combat prompts off, but becomes manageable once you understand the strategy. I only experienced a few deaths during the game, excluding deliberate ones.
In general feedback is that rushing isn't effective. Focus on managing orcs, use stealth where possible, and maintain strong defense. It may not be overly difficult once you adapt your approach.
Stealth is usually your top ally, everyone agrees. Keep an eye on the counter prompt. I eliminated most captains before the warchiefs even got unlocked, just because I liked it. Gather intel, target weaknesses, steer clear of strength, and if you can, use any nearby animals—watch them fall.
It's disheartening to see individuals focus solely on playing games without considering anything else.
has only lost once so far, taking down a few captains. I mostly agree with what was said—it's tougher than the typical games we see for the mainstream audience. It feels like a nice shift compared to things like the AC series where you could face 20 foes without getting hurt.
I have to say the ending was a bit let down, but it was still an enjoyable and tough challenge.
