I own a Corsair 780T case from 2017. Whenever I press the power button, the front fans increase speed for a short moment. This is typical. Recently, after replacing my PSU, the fans stopped increasing when I turn on the PC. All the LEDs are illuminated except the power button. One might think after all these years I should recall whether the power button was lighting up or not. The 3-speed fan control button functions properly, and the Corsair fans' LEDs illuminate correctly. I cleaned the interior of the case during the PSU replacement and wiped the fan blades with a damp cloth. I’m not sure if I damaged any wires, because if so, the I/O panel is linked to the motherboard via a small plastic connector—so a loose wire wouldn’t prevent power-on. The PSU I used is a Seasonic Prime titanium 1600W. I swapped in a Prime titanium 850 watt unit. It’s hard to imagine a higher wattage PSU would trigger this issue, though I can’t rule it out entirely. Any thoughts?

On a side note, does anyone know if there are parts available for this case? I suppose if I could obtain a new I/O panel, I might reuse the case for future builds.

did you reattach all the cables even though you believe they are properly connected?
have you swapped out every power cable with the new ones from the updated PSU?
did you overlook linking the SATA power connector to the front panel fans?
typically the PSU tester is only required when an issue arises. disconnect during regular PC use.

All connections are made. I replaced the new cables except for the CPU. My motherboard supports both an 8-pin and a 4-pin CPU connector. Since the new PSU didn’t include a 4-pin cable, I used the existing one together with the new 8-pin. Both the previous and current PSUs are Seasonic Prime Titaniums, and the older one was only around three years old.
The PSU tester is integrated into the 90-degree motherboard connector. It’s not mandatory, but it helps organize the cables more neatly.
The front panel fans are managed by the I/O panel on the case. I think if the PC starts up with the power button and fan speed control working, this isn’t a problem.

I don’t recall a specific SATA cable for the I/O panel. It seems I connected everything in 2017. The motherboard came with a tiny plastic connector for all the I/O panel wires. I can’t remember its name. It fit into the bottom right corner of the board if I recall correctly. Next time I open the case, I’ll inspect this connector and check for any SATA cables coming out from the I/O panel.

My idea that the built-in PSU tester might delay startup enough to skip the fan self-test seems possible. I plan to test it again when the PC is on the bench, by removing the 90-degree motherboard connector and connecting the motherboard cable directly.

I’m fine with fans not spinning up during startup as long as they’re operational and adjustable via the 3-speed fan button. No issues there.

Edit: The connector is labeled a Q connector or front panel connector on the motherboard. It looks like the SATA cable is connected to it, since both the I/O LEDs and the fan speed controller are functioning properly.
