My Norton stopped working and I don’t want to spend 80 dollars. Are there free antivirus options that provide similar security? They should scan websites, downloads, emails, and more.

Norton isn't the best choice for free antivirus options like AVG or Avast.

You should consider using both an anti-malware solution and an antivirus program. Malwarebytes is ideal for anti-malware, while BitDefender works well as an antivirus. Start by checking "Top 2014 Antivirus" reviews to find the best fit.

Norton isn't great. Avast is the top choice, in my opinion. Plus, you can monitor all your computers with the software you install.

Set up one of the suggested options and perform comprehensive checks afterward. It seems you might still have adware and possibly viruses after using Norton; I’ve tried AVG and Malwarebytes before. No viruses encountered so far.
