I have a Logitech HD Pro webcam C920 that has been functioning well for some time. Recently, while trying to join a Google Meet meeting, it kept displaying a message saying it was preparing to join. When I clicked the video and audio buttons, the popup didn’t appear as before. I verified my app permissions, which say the camera has access. I followed standard steps like unplugging and plugging in, restarting my PC, etc., but haven’t adjusted any settings recently. I’m unsure why it stops unexpectedly now. Any advice on troubleshooting next? The other computer worked fine—just plugged in, restarted, and allowed permissions. It seems the issue might be with the two cameras conflicting since my main one is set as primary.
It doesn't seem to be functioning as expected. The device will receive input from one source only, and conflicts between two inputs shouldn't occur. Have you checked another site that shows a preview of the camera? If not, try switching to Firefox. Also, do you have any antivirus software installed? I used Kaspersky, which included webcam protection, and it worked well for me. It either blocked video capture or blocked an app from accessing the camera, possibly causing the issue you're facing.
