I opened Chrome and it reported the update was applied. I’m used to new releases, but this one is really bad—it removed all my extensions and now almost every click shows an ad. Is this fix for everyone? Are others experiencing the same problem with their uninstalled extensions? This update was caused by a virus named Asmedia ASM104x eSATA Host Controller Driver.
Everything looks fine, no issues detected. Did you just check for an update?
Uncertain about what occurred, possibly a virus. Numerous files began downloading each time I tried to open a new tab. Removed and reinstalled Chrome, which appears to have resolved the issue. Could be a virus, but I don’t know how it got in unless it’s been inactive for some time. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen again now, as I have a lot of things to remove.
