The Ubuntu bootloader reported an unknown drive format, preventing you from installing Windows. You can use Grub Rescue during startup to recover your installation. Once recovered, you should be able to proceed with the 64-bit Windows setup.

Reinstall GRUB from a live CD? Confirm if Windows is being installed on a separate drive or partition—it won’t impact it if it’s on another drive.

I don't possess any partitions. I only have a Windows-based drive.

You need to set up Windows before using Linux, since running Linux in a virtual machine requires a separate installation of Windows. Running both directly isn't possible without the proper setup.

Windows performs better with certain games. I have a 32-bit version, but I’d like to upgrade to 64-bit. I prefer not using virtual machines.

Place Windows on the designated drive, reduce the partition size, and then add Linux.

When dealing with issues in the Windows boot loader or Grub, especially after installing Windows over Linux, this tool can really help: https://sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd/home/Home/ I've tried it on broken systems where people believed they had no choice but to erase everything, but it consistently resolved the problem and worked for both Windows and Linux boot.
