I fixed the PCB as shown in the picture. One screw didn’t come out and I accidentally damaged it while removing it. The GPU is functioning properly, but could something go wrong? I’m looking for some peace of mind. Thanks.

The marks appear normal, just a light touch on the surface. Avoid any further handling and it should remain intact.

two differential signal pairs are damaged and one of the H or L wires might be broken. These were definitely used, so you likely have less RAM or fewer PCIe lanes left. Check GPU-Z to find out the bus speed your GPU is using under load, and the memory it's reporting will also be hard to fix. If it’s just PCIe lanes and you still have something like x8, don’t worry much about it.

You’re missing thermal paste right now, but it’ll be back tomorrow. I attempted to use the GPU without it and it stopped working after a couple of seconds in BIOS—shutting down quickly. That might be linked to overheating.

It seems like the issue might be overheating.

I believe that too. Honestly, I don’t feel like resting tonight after thinking about this. It’s really overwhelming.

It should be fine, if it had signal, it means it works

It's an EVGA card, not a 4000 model. You didn't even have thermal paste left when you took it apart.

I bought a used model and a fan kept overheating constantly. Others suggested replacing the thermal paste, which I did but the problem persisted. Attempting it again wasn’t enough, so I stopped. Now I need to purchase a new one to keep going. Exhausted. EDIT: EVGA 2080 Ti XC Ultra

so the damage occurred the first repasting or the second? not sure what to think if it was the second. hopefully it's just pci-e lanes. now I see its a 2080ti, so it would probably be fine with even pci-e 4.0 x4. there is also no risk leaving it like this if it is working too, it will not damage anything, they are signal wires. it shouldn't matter even if they short each other.
