The Bluetooth connection isn't establishing properly.
I'm moving in next week and currently don't have WiFi. I can only use my phone for internet. I tried connecting my computer to the phone, but it still doesn't work. They paired them, but the computer isn't accessing the internet. Need help (My computer is called "Ryzen 5 2400G").
It functions on my old ThinkPad, yet not on my desktop. Are you trying this app? The absence of dial-up support on my PC might be the reason—you’re likely using Bluetooth to connect to your phone instead of dial-up. Consider Wi-Fi or USB tethering. https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...r&hl=en_US
Checked by connecting through my phone and using the Bluetooth icon in the system tray. I selected joining a personal network and then linked my phone from the list. It functions, but speeds are limited to 800Kbit down and 600Kbit up, versus 50Mbit down and 20Mbit up with WiFi hotspot. I’m unsure if this avoids your tethering cap since it’s still tethering and should be detected similarly to regular WiFi or USB connections. It seems the device doesn’t identify me as tethering—it inspects network traffic headers for a PC. A VPN might confuse detection, but using one would likely break the agreement.
Streetguru shared their experience downloading the Bluetooth version and confirmed it functions. They ran tests three times with speeds averaging 1.02 Mb/s down and 0.77 Mb/s up. After that, they tried the WiFi app but faced issues; Bluetooth seemed to work better. They mentioned needing WiFi in a new apartment and appreciated the support provided.
