Begin with BIOS setup for beginners. To lower temps on your 7950X while maintaining performance, follow these steps. Stay cautious, proceed gradually, and verify stability after each adjustment.

“Reminder: These configurations performed well on my ASUS X670EA with BIOS 3104. Other boards or firmware might respond differently—so proceed carefully, test one step at a time.”

The 7950x aligns better around 38k points when averaged. The typical 2990wx should sit near 33k. Your PBO tweaks seem to cut performance by about 14%. Adjusting temperatures could unlock significantly higher speeds and efficiency. You missed a lot of potential here.

These threading solutions seem outdated today, yet the Ryzen still surpasses them in many ways. In certain benchmarks, the 7950X could match or exceed performance by roughly double its initial speed.

My 9900X performs better, particularly under single-threaded conditions. I expected the 7950X to be slightly more robust.

Additionally, results differ depending on the operating system's background activity, surrounding temperatures, and BIOS settings. While the 2990WX comparison is interesting, the focus remained on real-world sustainability and everyday usability rather than pure rankings.

1 mode unless your memory controller is optimized. At such low frequencies, 2:1 mode will severely impact performance more than it improves it. For better results, aim for 6000CL30 and maintain a stable 1:1 clock speed.
