Your A10-9700 is no longer supported by the latest BIOS updates on your ASUS Prime A320M-K motherboard. Updating the BIOS might resolve this, but it could also introduce new issues. To proceed safely, check the official ASUS support page for compatibility and follow their instructions carefully. After updating, ensure your new Ryzen 7 5700X is properly installed and configured before starting your system.

Apply the change using your existing processor. Once the installation completes, the system will stop starting again. Afterward, replace the old processor with the new one.

It's always better to be cautious. That's a reasonable point. Honestly, it's quite remarkable that an older board received fresh backing.

Through many changes and troubleshooting steps, I’m using the latest version of my CPU, but updating the BIOS remains impossible. Each attempt reports an error stating the BIOS isn’t functioning properly. I’ve checked online forums and found similar problems, yet no solution has been identified. It seems the system is designed to prevent damage by blocking updates when the CPU isn’t recognized in the BIOS. I’m unsure if there’s a safe workaround, but it might be worth considering replacing the motherboard instead.
