The BIOS update is taking a long time to complete.
I recently assembled a new PC today, after installing the warning lights that say "CPU failed or not detected, DRAM failed or not detected." I thought about updating the BIOS to check for any compatibility problems with the original version. I've been working here since 7pm EST; it's now 8:49 and the indicator light is still lit.
Additional details are required:
Provide complete system hardware specifications and operating system information.
Specify the power supply unit: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used).
List the disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, current usage.
Include a list of all connected peripherals.
Indicate whether the network is wired or wireless.
It should have completed within 5 minutes plus a few for memory training. Are you certain you followed the MB manual?
It seems the system might not recognize the CPU ("CPU not detected").
I chose to shut down the system, remove the CPU, and adjust the RAM positioning. The setup was A1 & B1; this works well for most systems except certain MRBs, possibly due to a misread manual. After waiting 30 seconds, it started up. In short, I made a rookie mistake all.
