Wow, another one! I had a post further down with all my details and I had the EXACT same thing and code happen as you with the exact same board after updating, except I have a 9800X3D! Literally put a damper on my upgrade, my MSI X670E Carbon comes tomorrow and I think I'm just returning this annoying ASUS if this is the so-called "quality" control they have, it's the first ASUS board I've owned after owning my MSI B450 for 5 years and going through many bios updates without trouble. I'm lucky everywhere has extended holiday returns but I'm guessing you may be left with just RMAing and hoping it doesn't happen again. I don't know what ASUS is doing these days. It's bricked, I wouldn't bother messing around extensively because I did so for 3 hours and board seems just 100% dead to the world. I'm lucky I have my AM4 still fully working and not sold because I just put that back in to use in the meantime.
I attempted to reach out but they refused to process a return and blamed the retailer. It feels odd since the problem seems to stem from the factory. I’m hoping they’ll honor their commitments, but if not, I’ll likely go with MSI—my friend had no trouble with that one.
