Hello everyone! I've noticed a problem lately where when my PC starts up, the logo appears after about 5 to 10 seconds. This hasn't happened before, even though I upgraded the system in June this year. Usually, the BIOS beep should trigger the logo within 2 seconds, not take longer than 10 seconds. The Task Manager shows a Last BIOS time of 17.5 seconds, which is acceptable but not ideal. My setup includes an i5-12400 CPU and an MSI B760M-P with DDR4 RAM (3200MHz), 4x8GB, XMP enabled, and Fast Boot turned off. I understand the beep means everything is functioning, but why does the logo take so long? Could it be related to having one SSD and two older HDDs slowing things down? My old motherboard (Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2) booted up almost instantly after the beep, even with the same drives, which seems reasonable. But I'm not sure if this is typical for newer boards, or maybe I'm overreacting. Thanks for any advice! Unless this is normal for newer systems and I'm being too sensitive, I appreciate it. P.S. I forgot I had UEFI enabled, but I'm used to the old naming system.

some devices take a while to start up... the BIOS loading time is quite long, around 17 seconds. Mine often boots in about 6 or 8 seconds, and older hard drives can slow things down even more. You'll need to spin them up before Windows loads properly. Regarding HDDs, they do require initial spinning (maybe just a couple of seconds), then the BIOS checks them, which takes another 2-3 seconds. That’s why your boot seems sluggish...

I might pause those HDDs in UEFI, turn off the machine, restart it, and observe the outcome. Uncertain about the timing, but I’ll give it a shot eventually, hehe.
