I'm working on a flash drive to refresh my computer, but it keeps stopping unexpectedly and isn't resolving the problem. The error message keeps appearing as a DRAM issue, but it doesn't seem to fix the underlying problem.

DRAM issues remaining after a CMOS reset point to hardware faults such as faulty memory sticks or incorrect CPU placement, which a BIOS update can't resolve. The BIOS failure might stem from the exact cause preventing an update, requiring further diagnosis.

The frequent problems involve incorrect file names or a USB drive not using FAT32 formatting. FAT32 is straightforward to verify and can be reformatted with any Windows method. Regarding the filename, carefully follow the guidelines on the manufacturer's site. They often provide tools to rename BIOS files, though results may vary. Good luck!
