People are criticizing SP, but what kind of SP would you prefer? That's not my style, but it was great in its time—a plain, unremarkable player. I dream of being a field marshal with a big vision, leading a war across the cosmos. No suggestions have been made so far; they keep pushing forward, but maybe they should stop now.
They need to bring in more neurologists rather than developers; that would really help.
It's quite simple to captivate me in a video game campaign. I get why people feel that way, but it doesn't hold up. Name any major game from the past five years, and I can assure you I'd enjoy its story if I played it... except for Battlefield 4. This isn't about criticizing a title just because it's popular, it's just lacking depth for what it offers. Back then, it was really bad.
When starting a BF single-player game, I kept my expectations very low and even lowered them further to prevent any letdown.
The gameplay choices completely clashed with your expectations. I believe many people, regardless of numbers, considered it great. While I’d love a longer version with more variety, I’m almost certain it’s 100% based on the fixed 60 FOV. If I were choosing content I wanted, I’d rate it around 4 out of 10—people usually vote for what they enjoy, not the overall presentation. That’s why they have likes and dislikes. It’s not a major issue, though, since it’s not especially noticeable.
Some are criticizing the single-player experience of BF4 because they feel it doesn’t match the multiplayer focus. They question whether anyone has actually played the multiplayer, suggesting it’s just another example of poor design. The comment highlights frustration with how much the industry tolerates such issues, comparing it to a parent proudly displaying a child’s poorly drawn artwork.
