The BF4 campaign was tough... Did anyone else feel let down?
I just finished beating BF4 on hard for the first time. It might actually be the simplest game I've conquered at its toughest setting. I collected all the gold point rewards for every mission on my first attempt, except Shanghai (though it was easier the second time). I wasn't anticipating the campaign to be impressive, but it felt like they didn’t put much effort into it. I haven’t played multiplayer much, but I wasn’t disappointed by this experience. Personally, if you want to earn achievements or trophies in a game—regardless of platform—it’s worth trying on hard difficulty. It’s very straightforward and fast.
The core issue was that the single-player experience felt incomplete, and the game launched quickly without proper development.
It was a 6.5-hour session filled with pure happiness. I also really enjoy Battlefield games.
I didn’t enjoy being pushed into various locations quickly. You seem trapped—first in a prison, then in a dam, and now in the city.
and you also journeyed through Asia, then headed to Russia, returned to China, and ended up in Suez.
suggesting clear goals were established for the campaign phase.
The Battlefield line has always centered on gameplay rather than story campaigns, and since BF1942 it’s remained fully multiplayer oriented.
