I explored two gaming laptops and compared their performance. One offers a higher clock speed and better VRAM, while the other provides a more balanced spec set with a slightly lower price. Both are suitable for gaming, but the choice depends on your budget and needs.
For gaming, the MSI model offers a quicker processor. It provides more ports and includes a USB-C connection. The laptop also features an RGB keyboard, which significantly boosts performance. Just note to adjust the keyboard lighting to blue for better cooling.
You did not properly paste the specs. The first one is a 7700HQ with a 1050, 256GB SSD and 16GB of memory, the second one is the 7700HQ with a 1060, 128GB SSD and 8GB of memory. 8GB of memory is lacking these days, but if it has an empty slot remaining you can always upgrade. Verify if it does though.
The laptop featuring an i7 7th generation processor paired with a GTX 1060 would likely handle future games well in 2020 and 2021. As newer 8th generation Intel CPUs arrive, it should remain capable thanks to its stronger performance.
I’ve taken out the wrong connection now. Please check the comparison between i5 7300hq, GTX 1060 and i7 7700hq versus GTX 1060. Both offer 3 GB of VRAM and 8 GB RAM that can be upgraded. The price of the i7 laptop could go up. Which one performs better for gaming in 2020 and 2021?
Uncertain about the future. 2021 is just three years away, so by then it’s likely time for an upgrade. It’s currently a GTX 1060 with 3GB of VRAM and already struggles to keep up in AAA titles. Unless you’re comfortable with older games or non-AAA titles by then.
