Hi, I’m experiencing some issues with my new motherboard. I’ve noticed unusual noises coming from the back near the CPU socket, especially when Windows starts loading. I recorded these sounds and saved them as longer audio files. Over time, the noise becomes less obvious but still present. It matches exactly what I hear in my PSU Corsair CX650M, while it’s silent in the BIOS. When the CPU is under load—like during Prime95 tests—I’m completely quiet. I checked some forums and disabled all C-states in the BIOS, which reduced the noise significantly. Now it seems to disappear. Should I consider sending the motherboard for replacement? I’ve also reset the C-states to AUTO and tried some tests, but the sound still occurs when scrolling or moving the mouse. The audio files I recorded are available for download.
