I put Windows 11 on my Dell PC that was already using Windows 10. I believed everything was fine until I found one essential thing missing—the AZZ Card File program files I had made. It functioned properly in Windows 10. I can open the application but not access the files. In fact, I can't locate them at all. I tried searching for them by name because they were dated, like March 12 2020, and I don’t remember the dates. No, I didn’t have a backup. I reached out to the developers, but they haven’t responded. I searched the drive for any clues.

FYI:
https://www.azzcardfile.com/faq.html#u1
There is a wealth of details there, particularly concerning the .azz files. Please read the entire link before taking any action. Search for related links within AZZ as well. Also, make copies of your current files—such as those in My Documents and other folders—that might contain the .azz files. It seems you have several possible ways to recover your data.

I don't recall how I obtained my AZZ file information. After reading your helpful response, I thought I should just take a break from the computer. When I came back, I checked the File Explorer and opened some files—nothing there. Later, an azz.bak appeared on my desktop. I opened it and immediately saw the file! I closed the AZZ program, saved the file as an azz file, and placed a copy on a backup drive (which I haven't backed up before). I'm giving you the credit even though I don't understand what happened. Everything is fine and THANK YOU!
