I often encounter microstutters in nearly every game (except TF2 probably), and my low frame rates are around 3-1 fps, while the average is 130 fps. I only logged these issues in one game (Dead Space Remake), but stutters seem to appear in all games. Recently, I upgraded my PC and replaced everything except the discs, keyboard, and monitor (the monitor is about three months old). The problem still exists.

Current system:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7700
- GPU: RTX 5070
- Power supply: Deepcool GamerStorm PN850M, 650MB Gaming, Wi-Fi enabled
- RAM: 16x2 ADATA XPG Lancer Blade
- SSD: Samsung 970 PRO 512GB
- HDDs: 2 x 4TB Toshiba
- Monitor: LG Ultragear

What I attempted:
- Changed power plan
- Disabled monitor audio (NVIDIA HD Audio)
- Enabled A-XMP profile
- Used DDU and reinstalled drivers
- Ran several Windows reinstalls
- Removed Nvidia app
- Locked framerate + vsync + gsync
- Disabled game mode and game bar
- Ran scf scan
- Installed games directly on SSD instead of HDDs
- Checked disk health (all 100%)
- Disconnected LAN cable
- Disconnected keyboard or mouse (the Lattee seemed to help, though)
- Tested after installing MSI Afterburner – issue persists
- GPU uses a 12V 2x6 connector

I’m considering the possibility that the bus usage might be affecting performance, as it frequently reaches 100%, but I couldn’t find any guidance on this. Additionally, the mouse appears to be old and may have contributed, though I’m still unsure. The problem began before I installed MSI Afterburner, so it might not be related to that either.

Hello, I'm using the original version that came with the installation. I didn't expect it to be the problem, but I plan to update it and then let you know what happened.

Yes, this might be the problem. Certain recent bios updates address GPU issues. Be sure to reset CMOS following the bios update.

I changed the mouse, tried the game, updated the bios and tested again, then switched back to the original one. At first, the mouse replacement seemed to help slightly (lows increased by about 1% and 0.1%). Then I updated the bios but didn’t notice any difference. After that, I brought back the previous mouse, and the frame rate stayed the same (logs weren’t saved). It’s confusing because none of these steps really made a change, so it probably depends on how I played the game—my FPS is still inconsistent and the lows are much lower than expected at high settings.

I question that explanation, because I experienced stutters even on my previous GPU (3060). If Nvidia drivers were responsible, I would have needed to revert to drivers from 3-4 months ago when the problem first appeared, and there were no drivers available for the 5070 at that time.

I examined the matter further. Stutters occur roughly every 30-40 seconds, though occasionally more often. I can't provide any additional details.

Obtain the application named Zen Timings, execute it and examine the FCLK value, focusing on the rightmost column's second line.

Locate the FCLK setting in the BIOS (the name might differ on your board) and adjust it manually to 1800, which is the standard default speed.
