It's about value and relevance to your interests, not a big deal.

For certain individuals, it's surprising how money doesn't matter. It comes down to brand preference. The only reason I've heard in favor of AMD is for those who can't afford Intel and require maximum performance for every dollar spent. Personally, I don't care much; Intel has consistently shown reliability, regardless of what others think. That's why I stick with Intel.

I recommend purchasing AMD right now since Intel provides significantly better value for its price. I understand your perspective if you're using an Intel processor, but my goal is to share practical insights and help others make informed decisions.

It seems unlikely that such a strong position remains, even with Zen 2 available.

I'm the same person who didn't understand computers two years ago, only heard about the Ryzen first generation and thought Intel would be better. I became interested in PCs and their hardware, so I spent a lot of time watching tech and Linux tutorials (now I follow around seven different PC creators). Those few years taught me you need some knowledge about PCs before making any decisions. I remember wanting to buy a 64GB RAM, an i7-8700K, and an 1050Ti (lol). Now I own an R7 3700X and a 5700XT. So before jumping for Intel and saying "OMG I want to buy Intel now," check out YouTube. Watch Intel vs AMD gaming, compare multitasking between the two brands, and look at their pricing. Don't just make a purchase without thinking.

AMD is designed for those who don’t face mid-life decisions, not for those struggling financially.

I never claimed Intel isn't a good option. I personally own an 8700k and it performs well now and should continue to do so in the near future. But if I were deciding today, I wouldn't dismiss other choices without considering their merits compared to what most users need. For someone like OP, I definitely wouldn't settle for something clearly worse than its rivals for the bulk of scenarios.

He bought AMD since it was broken > Creates an intense urge to persuade people to buy AMD Lol, look at the vegans in the tech scene.

When finances aren’t a concern, consider acquiring the Xeon W-3175X and Asus Dominus Extreme. Think about why someone would settle for the 10980XE as if they were a simple person—such a powerful CPU belongs to those who can afford it.

Intel's 14nm process isn't great, right? Amd isn't for those on a tight budget, right?
