The Asus Z790-F remains inactive after a period of inactivity. To restore functionality, I must reset the CMOS or restart the system without the RAM slots, which forces a boot into BIOS. If the machine isn’t used continuously and enters any low-power state, it won’t wake up and can no longer be hard reset—resulting in a black screen despite lights and fans operating. Various components like the ASUS RXT 4070, Corsair Vengeance 5200, Seasonic PSU, ROG z790F have been tested. I adjusted Windows power settings to prevent sleep but still faced occasional C-state issues. Anyone else experienced similar problems?

Yes, there is. I was focused on flashing the bios but got stuck. Should it take a long time? When using the flash tool in the bios, before running the flash after selecting the new bios, it prompts whether I want to save and/or backup "something" related to BitLocker. I press "yes," but then it becomes unresponsive. I’m not sure what it’s doing at that moment. It could be trying to save something or perhaps I’m not waiting long enough.

Flashing a bios can take longer than expected. It might take around 15 minutes with almost no activity visible. Disrupting the process could lead to recovery problems on some motherboards, especially older models. I have limited knowledge about BitLocker. My suggestion would be to avoid saving anything. It might be requesting a password or something similar.
