You're facing an issue with CPU fan detection on your ASUS Z790-E Gaming setup. It seems the system isn't recognizing the fans, even after booting up. You've already tried Corsair AIOs and adjusted BIOS settings to ignore the warning. Since neither method works, it might help to double-check the fan connections, ensure the fans are spinning properly, or try a different power supply if possible. If the problem persists, contacting ASUS for warranty support would be a good next step. Let me know if you need more guidance!

The fans and pump connect to specific headers: cooler fans to the cpu_fan header and the pump to the aio_pump header.

The fans are connected to the commander core, pro, and my lighting node pro. The aio only has two power cables—one for the commander core and another for the CPU fan header. The issue keeps happening even after it goes to the CPU fan header. I’m looking for suggestions on testing the motherboard’s CPU fan header, possibly since the new board might have a faulty header.

Try it by connecting a fan to the cpu_fan header.

Many of these AIOs can connect via a USB header on the motherboard, enabling control through iCue.

I put it in place and refreshed the commander core. Next, I added the LCD upgrade package for the display. All USB connectors are connected to the motherboard or Commander Pro. Any tips would be great!

The device should connect to the Commander Pro via the PC's USB header as described in the instructions. If it appears in iCue but remains unresponsive, update the firmware through iCue.

Firmware is current. The pump is connected to the Commander Pro, and the USB header points to the Commander Core. I'm attempting to connect it straight to the motherboard, but it isn't appearing in the system tray at all.

It looks like they strongly prefer connecting the screen directly to the motherboard rather than using the Commander Pro. The exact reason isn’t clear, but both the manual and the instruction video show the screen going to the motherboard.
