Hey everyone, just started assembling an older build. I have an i7 6700k, GTX 1080, FXG 1080 FE, Asus Z270F motherboard, Corsair Dominator Platinum, 16GB RAM, and a 600W PSU. The system isn’t booting, even after clearing CMOS. I’ve tried everything except unplugging the CPU, and I’m still on. No one else has any tips—what could be wrong?
Unless I'm overlooking something, the amber LED corresponds to the DRAM, not the VGA. This might suggest an issue with the CPU or socket, since the memory controller resides there, or with your RAM. Have you attempted booting with a single stick? Did you also try using the alternate channel?
You've checked every channel and run tests, but without RAM installed, it seems the CPU or motherboard might be damaged.
The photo appears to show a bent pin at the bottom right corner, likely caused by dust that was blown away.
