Hello! After changing my ASUS X870-PLUS WIFI board from BIOS 0804 to 1078, the EXPO settings aren't functioning. EXPO is off and EXPO II is also not working—something that worked before the update. The system boots into the splash screen, then restarts and ends on a screenshot below. This RAM model appears in the supported memory list for this board: G.Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR. I recently bought it to replace a faulty kit that caused slow boot times and performance issues. I made sure to choose an approved version. I wasn't expecting a BIOS update to worsen memory support, but now I have a new problem. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.

It's common for older versions to work just fine. BIOS updates often focus on improvements, so a middle-ground release might resolve the issue. If not, manually adjusting the memory settings could be the next step instead of depending solely on EXPO.

I usually check the latest updates, but I’m wondering if they might have misled me a bit in their explanation.

I'll attempt to install the previous release and observe the results. The text appears to be a casual remark about the BIOs flagging instability in an older version. I'll keep that in mind as I proceed. Thanks!

Make sure to reset the CMOS after flashing. Disconnect the power source and all connected devices. I'm using a configuration outside of my QVL and it's functioning properly.

Instead of relying on automatic methods, you might need to do it yourself. These processes often don’t function properly.
