Hey everyone, looking for some guidance here. Switching from an Intel setup back to AMD with my 3900x is working well, but I'm having trouble with RAM. It won't post even when I set the RAM speed to 3600, though it's rated for that. The parts I'm using are the ASUS AMD Ryzen X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Formula, the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Gen3 12 Core AM4 CPU, and the G.SKILL F4-3600C17D-16GTZR 32 GB (two 16 GB modules). I've tried a DRAM calculator for Ryzen, but it gave me very tight timings—any setting I tried just caused it to cycle and shut down.

Typically tweaking SOC and memory voltages resolves the problem. SOC works well for memory overclocking between 1.05v and 1.2v—test it on your CPU. Memory voltage is stable at 24/7 up to 1.5V, though higher values aren't proven safe and may impact longevity. Avoid experimenting without data.

What cooler are you using? there's always a small probability that if you tighten your CPU cooler too tight and there's excessive pressure, you could damage the IMC on the processor to a degree causing related issues.

No, the selected die-type is incorrect. The adjustments to the dram voltage were not made.

Appreciate the support, now DOCP is functioning. It turns out the Asus board is flipped—slots 1/2/3/4 are on the wrong side instead of left to right. The dimmer units should be in positions 2/4, not 1/3. Someone on Asus forums pointed this out.

The slots are labeled from right to left, not left to right. Beginning at the right, they are A1, A2, B1, B2. Using a pair of sticks, they fit into the A2 and B2 positions. If these match the non-WiFi motherboard version, the corresponding slots should be grey.
