Have you considered altering the RAM slots? Have you tried installing one RAM stick at a time?
I have sent back my MoBo and am awaiting another one to be sent. Hoping this turns out to be this.
Another update (if anyone is actually reading this), I got the second motherboard and the power switch would not bridge. So I have awaiting another replacement.
You're experiencing the same problem with the same motherboard and RAM. It seems the system won't power down into BIOS, regardless of how many RAM sticks you use—either none, one, or more than one. The light stays on, but no changes happen. Has the new motherboard been tested?
I'm facing the same problem too—I've had this board setup for four months, rebooted from Windows, and since then it's completely nonfunctional. The yellow DRAM indicator stays lit. I changed the power supply, updated the video card, replaced the RAM, reassembled the machine outside the case, unplugged everything else, and reset the board by bridging the pins. Still getting the same issue. I've already filed a web-based RMA request, but after researching online, I think I'll need to buy a different motherboard. Many people seem to be experiencing this too.
I encountered the same problem before. I checked the manual, explored the onboard LED section, and then went to the jumper area. There was a note about clearing RAM data from the BIOS by shorting certain jumpers (follow the manual for details). Doing that resolved the issue for me. I hope this assists someone else.
I encountered this problem and resolved it. Although it's late for the event, I made sure the answer appears accurately in Google searches. The issue might stem from a bios problem; when you clear the CMOS on this board, the BIOS reverts to an older version that lacks the instruction set for Ryzen 5000 chips. Solution: Install a previous Ryzen model, update the BIOS to support Ryzen 5000, and then reinstall the 5800X.
Are you sure your RAM appears in the QLIV list? The Asus X570 boards tend to be quite strict about RAM problems. I’d consider updating the BIOS if the RAM isn’t working correctly.
