The Asus Prime Z370-A motherboard may not support every memory slot type.
I possess these parts: CPU core i3-9100f, memory Fury HyperX 8GB (currently four pairs), GeForce GTX 1650, and PSU XFX XTR2 850W. The board functioned properly with all four slots until recently. After a rebuild, it only worked with one slot now. Despite cleaning the slots and testing all memory sticks, the issue persists. I’ve also used the MemoryOK button without resolving the problem. What might be causing this, and what steps should I take?
It might have dust inside the CPU or socket. Use compressed air to remove it and then reattach the CPU. For a more thorough cleaning, 99% isopropyl alcohol can help depending on how dirty the CPU is.
I reassemble using certain parts, modifying just the areas where they were assembled. I tested multiple RAM modules (four pairs available). It doesn’t work to turn features on or off in the BIOS; the motherboard only shows a DRAM error and halts the startup.
Check another RAM, look for a refurbished option or try to negotiate for a RAM swap during a PC used components store.
Are you sure there’s a way to safely remove them without causing harm? Even if you think you’re careful, it’s good to double-check your approach.
The majority of the tests were constructed from a case, with the motherboard box serving as the foundation. Once it was secured in place, all necessary supports for the board were present.
