You're facing an issue where your ASUS laptop only recognizes a 128GB Samsung EVO SSD, despite having a Crucial MX500 500GB drive installed. The BIOS is stuck on the ASUS logo and won't let you access BIOS settings. After trying a different SSD, the same problem persists. Since Secure Boot and Fastboot are disabled, you're limited to SATA mode with AHCI. This suggests the drive might be too large for the current setup or there could be compatibility issues. Consider checking the drive's size against ASUS's recommended specifications or contacting ASUS support for further guidance.

It appears you're using an ASUS laptop and may need to check your BIOS settings. The issue could stem from the SSD controller not recognizing drives larger than 128GB.

It's Vivobook x541s with a Pentium processor and 4GB RAM, not the most powerful setup. The BIOS is version 307, which matches this site: ASUS Laptop X541SA - Support is the latest. I also used a 256GB Samsung drive from a previously owned Lenovo laptop, but it didn't work. I only tried the original 1TB HDD and a 128GB SSD. Any advice on enabling UEFI mode?
