I suspect the hard drive is failing. Try connecting it to a computer and checking its status. If you attempt to boot from a Windows recovery drive and enter troubleshooting, what results? You recently encountered this issue with an NVMe SSD that was previously in Read Only mode—complete failure.

I noticed an issue whenever my system recognizes the HDD, but not the USB drive, and the other way around.
