I chose to run the auto OC because my CPU is becoming slow. The optimization started but the PC keeps restarting and showing a blue screen. It’s been happening for about 20 minutes. Should I perform a hard reboot to reset everything?

The bluescreening usually results in failed overclocks. 5way optimization can be slow to complete successfully—it's more like overclocking and stress testing, just a bit at a time.
5WO relies on predefined tables and tests. For instance: 4690K maps to options 1 through 5. Test each one—success if it works, failure if not. Then retry or confirm. It may take some time; I don’t recall the exact duration, but it often lasts about half an hour or longer, depending on the hardware and table configurations.
