I tried AC from 1-4 and got the feeling: 1) Yay, 2) Wow, bwah! 3) Meh, 4) Yay... differently. Eventually I stopped trying to play them because I thought they were all over and not too impressive at that point. The question is, did I miss anything interesting while not focusing?

I believe Revelations stands out as the finest Assassins Creed title ever made. It's likely the only one with that view, yet I really enjoyed the narrative.

It looks like you're still exploring the game recently. The beginning was impressive, and I enjoyed it. From what I understand, it contains elements that caught my attention, though I'll keep an eye on it. So far, it feels really strong.

It was enjoyable mostly for amusing glitches, I think.

From what I recall, the conclusion is absolutely amazing. However, the entire game remains fairly brief.

I saw the conclusion on YouTube, but it didn’t match the quality of the original. I watched the brotherhood ending because there was an issue with Cesare not triggering the sequence. I moved the save file to another folder, removed and reinstalled the game, and it functioned perfectly—much better than before.

I don’t really see much value in playing after 4. Rogue is the only one that stands out, mainly because it included ship combat. Unity and Syndicate didn’t quite impress me. Unity’s story was confusing and hard to follow unless you focused closely, which really hurt my experience. Playing select co-op missions with friends was enjoyable. Syndicate felt similar. The narratives were tough to grasp but not as bad as Unity. I liked the points system in Syndicate compared to what Unity used. Overall, neither title is worth mentioning. I hope Origins brings the series back to life. If you’ve played the earlier titles—AC 1, 2, BH, and Black Flag—I’d say you’ve seen the top of the line. You might still have fun with Syndicate, especially the gang battles that made me feel like a real British gangster.

The new one looks like it will be pretty good. But then again...Ubisoft.

I agree with the original poster. I quit after the third game. I kept checking new releases and reviews, but there wasn’t enough excitement to continue playing Brotherhood.

I didn’t enjoy Black Flag much. (Pirates are awesome, but ship battles aren’t great) I liked Syndicate even though it didn’t do well, and I’ve had some cool moments in Rogue. Origins is coming soon and seems really promising. Still, it’s still an Assassin’s Creed title. You’re an assassin trying to stop the Templars from taking a piece of Eden while amassing as many loot items as you can.
