I woke up this morning and attempted to power on my PC, but it doesn’t boot at all. It looks the same as yesterday, yet when I start it up, it freezes on the boot debug screen. I’ve tried leaving it off for a while, reinserted the GPU, reset the CMOS, but nothing helps. I have a 9800x3d chip, which might be one of those components failing due to ASRock issues. I haven’t removed it from the socket yet, since that would be my final check, and I’m hoping it’s not the problem.

I assembled it in early January, not my initial project and without any problems before now. The boot led remains active, avoiding memory issues or anything similar, and I left it on for about ten minutes without any changes.

Yes, the press DEL key is used to enter the BIOS screen, but if it gets stuck there, it may be due to a hardware issue or incorrect settings.

This indicates a potential issue with your setup. You might want to check the BIOS update for your ASRock board.

nope, i don't even get to the bios screen. it seems to get stuck in the boot process itself, and i have no video output on either my cpu or onboard graphics

I attempted to update the BIOS but didn't see any changes. I also checked the CPU for physical damage, and everything seemed normal. I'm attempting to revert to an older BIOS version in hopes it resolves the problem. If that fails, I'll reach out to the reseller for a refund or replacement parts, and I won't be purchasing from ASRock again after hearing about their issues.

I'm not sure if this seems reassuring, but it looks like a motherboard problem. If I remember right, it's cheaper than the CPU. If the motherboard is still under warranty, I'd want to contact the seller. For Amazon, a quick return or fast RMA from ASRock could save time and headaches. Since this is brand new hardware, maybe a fast replacement from Amazon or ASRock would be better than dealing with long-term instability. Thank goodness I chose GIGABYTE or MSI for my X870E build.

I began the RMA process for the motherboard. It wasn<|pad|>, not Amazon, but Megekko—super quick with a bunch of things, though it’s really frustrating to have to go through this. I’m also hoping I can get a refund so I can switch to another motherboard, since I don’t want another ASUS model lasting more than a few months.
