The arrow isn't showing up in Lubuntu.
Occasionally this occurs after I keep using my PC in suspended mode. A short while later, or even longer, it restarts. It seems to happen with my HP x360 model. The details match what's listed in my profile. I'm currently without my laptop, sorry!
