Hey there! I'm just getting started with assembling my own PC and feeling a bit unsure about the process. For clarity, here are the details of my setup: Motherboard: Asrock B550M Pro SE (chosen for its white finish) CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: RTX 4060 AERO Tri-Fan PSU: Cooler Master SFX 750W Gold I've installed nine ARGB fans, but I'm avoiding a fan hub since I'll be using the header connections directly on the motherboard. I'm worried about accidentally connecting them in a wrong order, which could damage my components. Regarding the ARGB fans—each has four cables (possibly three I miscounted): female ARGB, male ARGB, female PWM, and male PWM. I was advised to connect all male and female ends together and then plug in the CHA_FAN and ARGB headers. Is this approach safe? What precautions should I take before proceeding? Thanks!

You aim to connect nine fans and RGB headers into ports that aren't fully available on the board, hoping it will perform better than the previous setup.

The instructions suggested linking the fans in a chain from the front (three fans) and sides (two fans), then connecting the rear fan (one fan) and bottom fans (three fans). Essentially, they recommended placing the top and side fans in a chain, attaching them to the mainboard near the first ARGB header and CHA_FAN, and linking the bottom and rear fans where the second ARGB header and CHA_FAN2 are positioned.

sorry. my sarcasm probably didn't convey very well. buy the correct header to plug the fans in.

The humor landed perfectly, I didn’t even notice it at first. Thanks for the tip—I’ll go with the argb fan hub instead.

Using 9 fans comes with a PWM fan hub and an RGB fan hub, but past projects don’t tell you much about hubs in general

It would appear faulty if multiple fans were connected to the MB. For ARGB, if you don’t want to exceed the header limit, you can draw power from the PSU, which is essentially what a power hub does. All fan data could then be linked together.

The insensitivity and disregard for others are not very effective either! Your name will be mentioned during this evening's prayer.
