Hi! I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra which makes really good 108p photos compared to my old phones. I had never tried opening them on my computer before. But today, I did and Paint won't open them. It says ''Paint cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file or its format is not currently supported''. Then I take the same picture without the 108p resolution and it opens fine. I really want to keep the quality of my photos at the highest possible if that is possible. Is there any fix for this? I tried finding an online solution that sent me to the registry in the Windows Photo Gallery Viewer file but I can't find it in the registry. It's like this was meant for windows 10 and not 11 or something. Then I found a solution that asked me to install some files in the registry but I didn't feel safe doing this at all (messing something up or ending up with a virus or something). Thanks so much everyone!

To edit these files, you could try using Paint.NET, since it can open and change them.

If you want to fix them, Paint.NET could try opening and changing the file.

Can we use this program to make small changes, like rotate things or highlight an area with a specific color?

This Paint.net is way better than what I usually do. My main app is IView, and I also use Paint.net for editing pictures after using another cheaper paid program.

Hey, could you tell me about another cheap app you're using that I haven't heard of yet? Thanks a lot!

I've been using ACDSee for a long time and even tried all the different versions out there. It comes with a free version too if you want to try it without spending money.

My favorite picture editor is PaintShop Pro. You can get a free trial for PaintShop Pro 2022 today to unlock new ways to edit photos fast with AI features like Portrait Mode, Background Replacement, and Style Transfer. Plus, there are easy-to-use tools and better workspace settings that help even beginners make cool edits. Check out www.paintshoppro.com for more info. I've used this program in many versions over the past 20 years. Often, you get big discounts on different packages.
