the app is removing itself from the desktop once more
after closing whatsapp, if i try to open it again, it won't work. there are no error messages shown. i have to reinstall it every time i open the app. i attempted to uninstall it via apps and features, then reinstalled, but the issue persisted. i also tried uninstalling through the control panel and accidentally double-clicked it, which disappeared. i believe this means it uninstalls itself. if i'm mistaken, please correct me. this problem occurred while using win 10 and after upgrading to win 11 recently. anyone have any suggestions? thank you.
the doe sit error occurs during attempts to open something. you asked about the source of the whatsapp you downloaded.
did you complete the installation and start the program? and what happens when you attempt to launch it via an outdated link?
I fully removed it once, then re-downloaded the program from the official site and reinstalled it, but the issue remains. What do you mean by the old link? If you're referring to the app shortcut, I usually try to launch the program directly from there.
icon of the app (one that i keep on the task bar) had turned into those blank white page icon over the night and wont open again. when i click on it, it says "it might have been moved, renamed, or deleted. do you want to remove this item?"
also i just went to shortcut's location.WhatsApp.exe doesnt do anything. Update.exe doesnt do anything either.
but there is a folder called "app-2.2134.10" in whatsapp's main folder. there is two exe files. 1st: squirrel.exe 2nd:another WhatsApp.exe . squirrel doesnt do anything but when i double clicked on the other exe and whatsapp opened!
does it mean that ive been trying to open an old version of whatsapp?
It seems like the problem might be related to the recent update. Did you run the installation with administrative privileges?
