In Cyberpunk, you can really use a massive dildo as a weapon—quite effective for the cyber-psychos. Moving on, people are upset about the console side; the footage from the base PS4 and Xbox looks terrible. Still, it seems the developers are trying to improve it.

Many 6th generation titles had inconsistent frame rates. Need for Speed games mostly stuck at 30fps or variable, and Midnight Club games followed a similar pattern. While some 60fps titles existed earlier, it's rare to find comparable games today that match the performance from around 2004.

it's not about me missing the complaints about performance... what I mean is that no one had tested the game engine thoroughly, which led to unfair criticism for the game. The engine controls how many polygons are needed for each asset, and the large variation in polygon counts makes running it difficult even on the latest hardware. Drivers also affect speed and optimization. Most performance problems were resolved after the 1.04 update, with ongoing improvements as new patches and drivers arrive. I emphasized 4K specifically because if you only have a PS4 since 2013, you're likely using a console setup—making it the most common configuration for that platform. The initial backlash was mainly due to this issue, and right now we need reviews of the engine itself to understand why performance remains poor even with high specs. This is why I highlighted CRYSIS 3... its engine generated excessive polygons for environmental assets, causing such issues even on modern systems. This is what I want people to understand: CRYSIS 3 was a real stress test for modern PC builds due to the engine's behavior. CyberPunk 2077 faces similar challenges, as do other titles like Final Fantasy XV and Red Dead Redemption 2.

the only group facing a generally poor experience was strictly console-only players, especially those using PS4. this is why I’m pushing for improvements to the game engine—we’ve seen similar issues before with CRYSIS 3, which launched in February 2013 as a PS3 title. everyone had expected the same performance, but the minimum and recommended requirements kept changing amid delays. comparing the final specs to what’s needed for PS4 shows that even then, many players would struggle. most agree that CDPR made significant changes after launch, especially with the 1.04 patch, which left fans frustrated. it’s clear that CDPR didn’t prioritize support for older consoles, despite publishing recommended specs beforehand. people were surprised and upset when their setups didn’t meet expectations. this isn’t random—it’s a pattern of neglecting previous-gen hardware. if you see a warning like “warning do not touch high voltage,” it means you should still be cautious; ignoring it can lead to trouble. the real anger here is at CDPR for prioritizing profits over player satisfaction, especially after investing effort in warnings that didn’t prevent issues. this situation mirrors past disappointments, and it’s time for better respect and support from developers.

All console releases came with issues—glitches, freezes, crashes, missing textures, and sync problems. The Xbox One performs poorly in FPS and resolution compared to others, which explains the repeated focus on the PS4. The P.C. version also suffers from many bugs and hasn’t avoided criticism either.

I enjoyed the game and play it at 4K resolution. Used r5 3600 with n 1080p. Oddly, in spots with lots of people near the v's apartment, resolution drops to 1080p. Switching on/off doesn't help. DLSS quality jumps to ultra performance. Settings set to low. FPS keeps falling to around 37. It’s a bit concerning since I’ve invested all my money on the monitor. Buying a 5600x seems pointless when DDR5 comes next year. I also ran that hexcode mod, but I’m confused why 8600k or 7700k work well while 3600 struggles—single core should be better, right? It was released after the 9th generation Intel chips. I’m happy with the game, just hoping for steady 60fps at 1440p or 45-55FPS in 4K.

The information about my card being on the recommended list for 1080P but then downgraded to minimum requirements is frustrating. Even after that, it doesn’t reliably hit close to 60 FPS. It seems like a weak sales strategy. With no new video cards available right now, this should explain why people are upset. Most other games actually work well with the system suggestions and my hardware at reasonable settings.
