I think I discovered a fix. I reinforced the situation and... stored it in the freezer. Kept it for 1-2 hours. The operating system crashed and needed a restart, but the console was too chilly to do that right away. I let it warm up slightly before using it again, and now it works fine. Previously, after placing it in the fridge, it would only run for about 15 minutes, but this time it lasted until the 18th hour. Problem solved, I guess?
