The AMD Ryzen™ 7 3700X remains a solid choice for gaming, offering strong performance in most titles. You can typically find it for around $400 to $600 depending on the retailer and current market conditions.

Based on the refresh rate you're aiming for, a price around 100-120 euros seems fair.

Usually under $100, but a newer model costs around $120

expect similar pricing around 70-90$ for a used 5600(x). For a genuine upgrade, 5700x/5800x offers a better value between 120-150$. If you're looking for the top choice, 5700x/5800x is also a solid option. Avoid anything outside the 5700x range unless you're comfortable with risks. Used Ryzen boards are cheaper and risk-free, but ensure they're not damaged. For new builds, consider mid-range options like B450 under $70 or B660/760/Z690 with a 12MHz core for better performance. Newer models will outperform used ones in reliability and value.

It will perform better in multi-threaded tasks compared to the Ryzen 5 5600, but slower in single-threaded scenarios. Ideally, its cost should match that of a brand-new Ryzen 5 5600, around the same price range as Ryzen 5 5500 and 5600 since it's an older model. For a used 3700X, you wouldn't need to spend more than for a brand-new Ryzen 5 5500.

I would not exceed $75 for used items. For gaming, particularly with GPU-intensive games like Valorant, CS2, LoL, Apex Legends, etc., it’s much too slow.

It was quite a significant jump, yet a Ryzen 5600X behaves similarly to a 3700X when handling multiple cores.
