The Ryzen 2700x saw a discount of roughly $20 USD on both Newegg and Amazon, bringing the price down to $169.99 USD. The reduction might not appear immediately for Amazon on PC PartPicker, but it’s likely to be updated soon. What are people thinking about this change? Should the price drop further before Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Or should buyers act now, as I would?

Micro Center offers better value for the price. At $170, it's worth paying a bit more to receive a 3600 with comparable nT precision but significantly higher 1t precision.

I have a clever strategy. Suggest purchasing the third generation to keep the second generation available for longer while reducing its cost.

I understand your perspective, and I share your thoughts on how it doesn’t match Micro center’s pricing. The main issue is the limited availability at nearby stores. The closest location is about four hours away in Chicago, which makes this discount more appealing for those who can’t reach it easily.

I reside 20 minutes away. The 3800X at $330 seems quite appealing... Although it’s similar to the 3700X, the price is higher. The 3700X is listed at $300, but I’m hoping the BF will bring it down to around $270. My finances are reacting strongly right now—just bought an Odyssey+ for $200. Is it me or did all LGA2066 CPUs disappear from Micro Center’s site?

Just expect a 3600 rating. The second-gen OCR is lacking.

I was pleased to receive it a few months back for $229, yet $169 seems like an incredible offer.

You're lucky, right? I'm hoping the 3700X will reach your target price! Enjoy your Odyssey+! I've always been curious about VR. Checking LGA2066 CPUs on Micro Center gave me two results—why isn't it showing up for you?

That's quite a significant variation in cost! Are you satisfied with what you've bought?
