I increased my FX8320 to 4.2ghz and it runs at 1.260 volts (stock). Is this typical? How much can I push with the stock voltage? I just adjusted the CPU ratio to 21. The highest temperature recorded during full load was 55°C. I have an Arctic Freezer 13 cooler, an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard.

It depends on whether the app you're using is reading the right vcore. 1.5V is the AMD recommended maximum, though some may use a bit higher. My FX-8350 has a standard vcore of 1.425v. It seems like you're only seeing 1.260v, which likely indicates the low-power mode.

Rauno K shared that the CPUID reported incorrect voltage data, while the BIOS indicated 1.306. He advised checking the vcore during stress conditions rather than when idle.
