Hi there! I’m dealing with a curious issue with my FX 8350. Previously, using the default BIOS settings (4GHz base, turbo 4.2GHz) and overclocking my Asrock Radeon RX560 to 1300/1850 MHz, I achieved around 7700 points on 3DMark11. Now I’ve set the CPU to a stable 4.5GHz with 1.4V, and applied the same settings to the GPU. The issue is that 3DMark11 now shows about 7400 points, while games like Battlefield 5 and Call of Duty: WWII are running much smoother. Anyone know why this discrepancy happens?

I also recently upgraded my GPU drivers from 19.8.1 to 19.8.2, thinking it might be the cause. Could it be that the drivers are affecting performance in such a way?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Consider removing the 19.8.2, attempt to reinstall the previous driver version, and you might find it helpful. Or perhaps you used DDU to uninstall the GPU driver first, then updated it to the latest version.

Nope. I just installed new drivers straight from Amd software as always. Have to try that when i go home from work. I don't think that there is overheating anywhere because my cpu temp is max 54 in full load.

Hey everyone! I removed the 19.8.2 drivers, installed a fresh 19.8.1 version, and used 3dmark11. My scores went up from 7400 to 7900. Also, in MSI afterburner my GPU's power limit was reset—restored it to +35% and everything works now!
