I turned off turbo to avoid higher voltage or clock speed issues, and I also had to enable all power-saving features because they caused frame rate spikes. The reason I’m considering a new motherboard is that this one only has 4+1 VRM, while others claim I need 8+2 or similar. If pushing overclocking further won’t improve performance, I’ll stick with what I have and just upgrade the cooler. Will an EVO 212 be sufficient for the stock clocks? I want lower temperatures and a quieter system since the noise bothers me.
