The AMD folder in your C drive remains visible due to persistent system files or configurations.
Occasionally I encounter a popup from an AMD installer urging me to install or update software. It originates from a folder on my C drive named "AMD" containing various Radeon Crimson ReLive files. Since my system only has the processor and not GPU-related stuff, I thought this folder shouldn’t exist. Despite deleting it several times, it still keeps downloading. How can I permanently remove it?
You have an AMD CPU which means you also possess an AMD chipset. Typically, chipset drivers are packaged in the Crimson format (perhaps for some reason) together with numerous additional drivers. These drivers are essential; running the system will prevent it from attempting to install GPU drivers but will still install the other ones.
