Hey everyone, seeking some guidance. I've been using this setup for roughly two years without any problems: AMD 7700x, NZXT Kraken 360mm, Asus ROG Strix x670e-a, MoBo Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000 CL30, 16GBx2, Samsung 980 Pro M.2, Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090, Seasonic Prime 850 TX, PSU. Recently, while gaming, the whole system froze and didn't respond to any keyboard input even though the game window stayed visible. Pressing the power button repeatedly wouldn't shut it down, so I had to turn off the PSU. After that, the system won't boot into BIOS. It turns on fully, with RGB and fans working, but keeps showing a persistent DRAM fault error light. I've tried different RAM configurations—single stick in all slots, DDR5 5400 in all slots, booting without the graphics card, clearing CMOS, removing the battery, flashing BIOS, and even swapping to a new motherboard (ROG Strix x670e-e). The new board also fails to boot and displays the same error. I've also checked the error code on the board, which only shows 00, but the manual says that's not an actual error code. I'm starting to think the CPU might be faulty and need replacement, but I wanted some advice before spending more money. Also, I'm unsure if the RAM is bad since it wouldn't boot with either the 5400 or 6000 kits. Thanks for any help or insights!

If you have already tested everything else, it sounds like the memory controller on your CPU has gone bad. Otherwise there is a small chance that you are extremely consistently putting in the memory wrong.

You can wait up to a few minutes for the memory to settle before proceeding. The process might require some time for the DRAM to stabilize and the system to start up.

Hopefully I'm not too bad at cleaning up.

Spent about 5 to 10 minutes on the initial boots. Focused less on other later setups. Spent roughly 5 hours yesterday working on it and completed around 30 boot cycles.

Yes, it does start up eventually.
