I recently upgraded my PC from an AM3+ to an AM5 platform. I installed an ASUS X670E gaming A graphics card, a GSKILL 2x16GB 6400 Trident Z Neo kit, and a 7700X processor. After a few days, the yellow RAM light appeared. I finally booted into Windows after turning it off overnight. It turned out I hadn’t enabled Wi-Fi in the BIOS, so I restarted the system to fix that. Now I’m stuck with the same issue—can’t boot into BIOS after about 15 minutes with the yellow RAM light on. Any advice?

Request the 6000 CL30 kit along with the XMP file. The default settings may not function well, or could operate in 2:1 mode which would lead to poor performance. You'll likely need to adjust it manually for proper operation, or you might end up using a more affordable model with identical configurations. These memory modules typically fit in slots 2 and 4 from the CPU side.

Ram is placed in slots 2 and 4. I've attempted to reposition them, run just one stick repeatedly, and even reset the CPU. So far, it's only booted into Windows once.

It seems there may be an issue with the memory training. It could help to switch to an older BIOS, such as using BIOS Flashback to access earlier versions before the latest one. Sometimes the newest BIOS isn't ideal, so going back to a previous revision—like 1807—might resolve your problems.

Attempting an update to version 1807, but the USB device is not responding. The manual advises holding for three seconds to trigger a blink sequence indicating progress. I see either a solid green light or a blank one, prompting me to redownload from the flash drive and test if it still works (it’s a USB 2.0). The BIOS is now flashing again. Updates will be reported soon!

I told ASUS support about the issue, they confirmed it was not a CPU or RAM problem. They said the motherboard is faulty and a replacement will arrive tomorrow.
