I recently assembled a new PC around 2-3 months ago. I’ve played some demanding games like Starfield and Red Dead Redemption 2. I never noticed fans making a lot of noise, they stayed quiet most of the time. Today I returned from work, and the fans are running at about the same level as if I was stress-testing the CPU to 100%. The fans are set to maximum speed via the AIO header, consistently hitting around 1600 RPM. It seems they’re working hard to manage heat, even though the i9 13900K is sitting comfortably at 40°C with minimal load.

I just adjusted the fan settings to "Balanced" in the Corsairs program, and they're now quieter because the fans are running slower. However, since I kept them at maximum speed for two months, I didn’t notice the noise until yesterday.

the latest software update resolved the issue. high-performance fans often create a jet-like noise, which is why custom water cooling with fan speeds tied to coolant temperature works well. some modern AIO systems let you adjust fan speeds based on water temperature—set them to maximum at around 45°C. if not, create a curve using a temperature sensor. keep in mind that CPU temperatures fluctuate, so fan speeds should be balanced; choose a steady RPM and raise it further only if needed.

It looks like I should stay neutral and keep things straightforward. The water pump operates around 30°C, which works well.
